• Social: New France Test on Monday. To study - look at fakebook for Samuel de Champlain. Social: Practice history tellers. Review pages 120-130 in the text on New France in textbook- we will have a test on it! Key points: Look for bolded words, pictures, maps.p. 120 Samuel de Champlain, first French settlement. (Reader's theatre we did) p. 122 - What was life like in New France - 123. New France expands - gets bigger - Montreal 124, 125. seigneurial system - long strips of land, seigneur means lord 126. Habitants - their jobs 130 - filles du roi- daughters of the king, population of New France grows.
