Sorry for the lack of blog updates lately, we have been busy. Here's what we have been up to this week.
Science: We're been learning about wetlands and are prepared to identify many of the plants and animals that we will see on our field trip on Monday.
Be sure to bring: sunglasses and a hat, bug spray, sunscreen, a bagged lunch (no items requiring a microwave)
Social Studies: we're working with 5B on the final outcomes in social studies. Topics include, WWII, the creation of our flag, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and more!
Math: Finish the algebra review pages. Algebra test on Wednesday.
LA: We've been doing some intense journaling nad writing 200-300 words per day.
As always, we continue to work on grammar and vocabulary. We're also working on a novel study.
Art: We're working on portraits: Come see our study of noses posted in the hall near the library. We've started working on eyes.

We've been working on algebra and some of it was too hard to send home for homework. We will finish the unit this week or early next week.
We're reading a new novel, "From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler." It is a a Newberry Award winner.
We're working on creating a virtual debate using a site called, "Goanimate."
We've started our last Science unit on wetlands. Everyone should know the class vocabulary (learned with the camping game) and can review our notes so far.
