Math: Measurement test tomorrow. Pages 195, 196 in algebra/patterns booklet.

Science: Finish booklet -except for last page. Due tomorrow (Wednesday)

Social: Quick quiz tomorrow on the topics covered in the last week. Includes: 1870-1914, the railroad, immigration, industrialization, urbanization. New inventions and changes. The causes of WWI (I. A.M. N.I.C.), Women's right to vote and the Famous Five. - Know their names (HI LEN) and what they did.

Math: we are working on patterns and algebra - Measurement test on Wednesday. (Converting cm to mm, m, etc, perimeter and area, using appropriate measurements. Finish page 187, 188 for tomorrow.

Science: Finish Wetlands booklet for Wednesday. Know your insects for the field trip.

Social: Causes and effects of WWI.

LA: Editing, DLR - you should be caught up. Hand in your letters to the new Grade five students tomorrow.

Math: Know your vocabulary. Also, page 256 on cm etc.

Social: We are studying the Canadian Pacific Railroad.

Science: Finish your adaptation assignment. Know the material relating to wetlands.

Have you handed in: life cycle and food chain drawings, your NWMP recruitment poster.

Math: We've been working hard on geometry. Students should know: right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles, how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles. Other vocabulary we have covered include parallel, intersecting, perpendicular, vertical and horizontal lines. We've also covered quadrilaterals. Squares, rectangles, rhombus and parallelograms. Measurement continues.

LA: Students should know the types of sentences; simple, compound and complex.

Science: Wetlands - students should know the functions of a wetland, the three categories of animals, all about food chains and photosynthesis, life cycles as well as adaptations.

Social Studies: Students should know the reasons for building the railway, difficulties in its construction and changes it brought to Canada. Being able to pronounce Craigellachie would be an added bonus (in addition to knowing why it is important)
