Math: We've been working hard on geometry. Students should know: right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles, how to use a protractor to measure and draw angles. Other vocabulary we have covered include parallel, intersecting, perpendicular, vertical and horizontal lines. We've also covered quadrilaterals. Squares, rectangles, rhombus and parallelograms. Measurement continues.

LA: Students should know the types of sentences; simple, compound and complex.

Science: Wetlands - students should know the functions of a wetland, the three categories of animals, all about food chains and photosynthesis, life cycles as well as adaptations.

Social Studies: Students should know the reasons for building the railway, difficulties in its construction and changes it brought to Canada. Being able to pronounce Craigellachie would be an added bonus (in addition to knowing why it is important)
