Language Arts: We worked on the Show Don't Tell Sentences. Students were to write me a new paragraph based on their best sentence.

Social Studies: Weworked on the continents. Quiz on provnces and their capitals is tomorrow.

Science: We went to our ICT website to work on science. http://www.blackgold.ca/ict/Divison2/science5/topic_c.htm

Math: Basic facts as always. My pet peeve: when Grade six teachers complain that students don't know their basic facts. LEARN THEM NOW. THIS REQUIRES PRACTICE...LOTS AND LOTS OF PRACTICE. I may be sending home a practice log soon. Be caught up with all your sheets. I'll post page numbers and hopefully the page numebrs soon.

Thanks also to parent volunteers. With guitar club, running club, choir and soon, chess club. I appreciate the lunchtime supervision so that I can eat! :)
